They&#8217;re even ready for their closeup. Their eyes give them a panoramic point of view. So to match that in a camera, I took a panorama of my house from directly underneath the squirrel&#8217;s branch, maybe 10 feet below it. (A regular shot would never have fit the whole house.) Then I reflect it left to right, because the images in the eyes are literally mirror images of the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"174\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/amosnewcombe.info\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/2020-04-29-16.15.19.jpg\" alt=\"A view of my house, mimicking the squirrel's eye view.\" class=\"wp-image-654\" srcset=\"https:\/\/amosnewcombe.info\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/2020-04-29-16.15.19.jpg 174w, https:\/\/amosnewcombe.info\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/2020-04-29-16.15.19-150x86.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 174px) 100vw, 174px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I wondered just what the squirrels could see of this and it turns out that the squirrels active in the trees in the daytime, like these guys, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.squirrelsatthefeeder.com\/do-squirrels-have-good-eyesight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">have very acute vision, including color vision<\/a>: it is their primary mode of sensing danger.
