CBS, now largely owned and managed by the Ellison family, friends of Trump, cancelled or “postponed” a news segment detailing abuses in the CECOT prison in El Salvador. ICE kidnap victims are being held there in horrible conditions. There has been a lot of talk. My purpose here is not to add to that talk but to link to the pirated copy at the Wayback Machine.
The network successfully killed the regular Sunday broadcast. According to CNN: “But networks like CBS sometimes deliver taped programming to affiliates like Global TV ahead of time. That appears to be what happened in this case: The Friday version of the “60 Minutes” episode is what streamed to Canadian viewers.” Maybe. But I’d rather think that there was some elbows up action going on here. Do they really tape a different version on Fridays?
